I always thought turning 30 would be a hard day, but it turned about to be one of the best days/weeks ever. The thought of getting older, no longer having the excuse of being young and ignorant; turning 30 is the kick in the pants, time to evaluate and review the path time of life.
I did some reviewing, goal setting, and thanks to my amazing family and friends, the week was so filled with so much love and laughter that it made entering this new chapter of life a really exiting time.
It started with a fun filled day of Dallas adventure with Jenny and Andy exploring graffiti walls at Southside and the Trinity Groves area (which was awesome). So many backdrops to play with, I can’t wait to book a sunset photoshoot there!
That night we all met Ashley at Casa Vieja for Columbian Cuisine and got to watch the dance floor fill up throughout our delicious meal. Jenny made my favorite, Cookie Crumble Cake, which was AHmazing, and we came back for games in the Rockett Lab.
On Sunday I spend the entire day cathartic cleaning, and that night we went to meet my family for dinner which was actually a surprise party thrown by my sister and Mom at Cafe Amore! I felt so loved with so many people that mean so much to all together for dinner, drinks and an awesome camera cake made by Cake Baby and Company by Hope Maddy!
On Tuesday Rockett and I had tickets to Alt-J, which has been my personal favorite and most listened to band over the last year. Seeing them live on a full moon, the day before my birthday, with Rockett.. it truly was a magical night.
My actual Birthday I spent with my Mom having lunch, shopping sales at Northpark and meeting Rockett and my family at Arthur’s for dinner.
It was an awesome Birthday full of love, laughs and growth.
Thank you all for the support this far, I am excited for all the adventures to come!
