We were psyched to get to work our second event with American National Insurance and document their luxurious yearly incentive trip. We love getting to work with TSA Productions (event production group for the trip) and love seeing familiar faces from last years trip to Cabo!
This year they went to the gorgeous Pelican Hill Resort at Newport Beach, California. The expansive views and being set up high to watch the sunset over the golf course and ocean made for spectacular and vibrant outdoor cocktail hours.
You can view all of the pictures of our personal pictures from the event here, and below I will highlight the trip!
Pelican Hill is one of the most beautiful resorts I have been to. The pool is gigantic, having breakfast looking over it was breathtaking.
The first night was Italian themed; complete with wine stompers, stilt walkers, caricature artists, an opera singer, a great Italian band and more fun characters to interact with.
The stilts couple was so cute, they actually got married stilts!
The second day we got pictures and took b-roll of the golf course and resort while they were in there business session, and that night they transformed that same room into a full on night club. The entertainment for the evening blew everyone away. 21 year old Sara Niemietz (with over 7 million views on youtube, featured on Ellen and in 8 episodes of Glee) and her awesome band showed an amazing range of soul and rock. They were all a pleasure to meet, and absolutely astounding to watch live.
The third day Rockett went kayaking with one group, while I got an afternoon tour and lunch on John Wayne’s old yacht, The Wild Goose. The John Wayne impersonator was awesome, and made the experience even that much more fun. It was so cool to see the history in all the rooms, go by John Wayne’s old house, by the CEO of Yahoo’s house and Balboa island all in one trip.
The third night was formal night. I do formal pictures of everyone during cocktail hour, followed by a formal sit-down down dinner, sparkly vibrant decor, and one of the best live entertainment experiences I have had! Alter Ego is a 10 person cover band that does 90 outfit changes in 2 hours. The show was incredible, the outfits were all spot-on and they were perfect at playing the different singers and bands. Next to the sunsets, it was up there as my favorite parts of the trip. Oh and I am obsessed with the flower disco ball chandeliers… seriously amazing!
The fourth day we went to the Nixon Library, which I was way more impressed then I thought I’d be. The museum is set around Richard Nixon’s birth home, that was built by his father from a kit. It was a beautiful and vibrant location, that actually had a wedding going on as we were there.
I loved the simple elegance of the last night, because as most people know, I am a sucker for chevron! The tablecloths made me so happy.
It was an absolutely amazing time, we feel incredibly blessed to do what we love and serve others in such a heavenly location with awesome people.
